VLC Player: Play All Media Files On Your Android Device

The team behind the famous and mostly used media player, Video LAN mobile team has released the official first beta version of its VLC player for the Android OS.

Naturally being in beta, the app might be unstable at times, although most of the early feedback is positive. Mind you, it’ll run only on devices with an ARMv7 processor, which supports the NEON engine. The player comes with a nice widget that allows you to play, pause and stop any music track you might be playing with it.

VLC for Android plays most of the local video and audio files, as well as network streams, like the desktop version of VLC. It means that VLC Android version works similar to the desktop version and supports all types of video and audio files playing along with network streams.

Don’t fall for a number of VLC players masquerading over the internet; the official VLC player for mobile phone is now available for download on Google Play.
